+ 44 are taking a break at the moment while drummer Travis Barker heals from the horrific plane crash earlier this year. Mark Hoppus tells that Barker is doing as well as anyone can under such awful circumstances and that he's already itching to return to playing drums. The vocalist says Barker is one of the most musically driven people he knows and can't wait to return to the drum kit and the studio.

The singer says he's been writing plenty of material lately and will be prepared when the band is ready to start again, which may not be long. Hoppus says, quote, "He's healing very quickly. The doctors are saying that his body is really healing in a positive way. So, hopefully, in the next couple of months we'll see him behind the kit, I pray. No matter what I work on, Travis will be part of, for sure."
